Hi, I’m Molly Tipping.
I am a gentle and joyful practitioner who is passionate about embracing the bodies natural intelligence to heal, learn and improve. I support this with a deep respect for the philosophy and theory of body-mind medicine and I love helping people re-discover their most able, loving and potent selves.
My career in movement arts and body practices began 20 years ago. I completed a BA in Dance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and worked for 7 years as a professional dancer and choreographer in Australia, India and Europe. After a creative and adventurous time I left performing and dove head and heart first into my greatest passion - body-mind science and therapeutic practice.
I trained in Pilates with Gillian Cornish (2000), Ideokinesis with Pam Matt (2004), Feldenkrais with Alan Questel and Julie Peck (2006-10) and Consent and Intimacy Coaching with Betty Martin and Robyn Dalzen (2021). These body centered modalities form the foundation of my teaching and healing practices today.
I run a private practice from my beautiful space in North Perth, and I also offer online sessions for interstate or overseas clients or those who prefer it.
I offer individualised assistance to people with anxiety, complex pain, posture, intimacy, co-ordination and functional issues.
I teach Feldenkrais and Consent workshops in North Perth, Fremantle and online.
During semester I lecturer at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in the Dance, Theatre, Music and Performance departments. I teach Experiential Anatomy, Movement Fundamentals, Kinesiology, Resilience Tools, Consent for Actors, and Performance Anxiety.
I have support over 2000+ students in their somatic (body-mind) enquiry.
Over the last decade I have pursued a personal passion to synthesise Moshe Feldenkrais’ work on anxiety bringing body-based solutions to children, teens and adults with anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma.
In recent years I have been extending my somatic skills into consent and intimacy education and have become qualified as a Consent and Intimacy Coach through Betty Martin’s School of Consent.
Moshe Feldenkrais wrote extensively on the anxiety associated with pleasure and sexual maturity. In doing the Consent training I have gained further qualifications and skills to help my clients meet their anxieties around boundaries, touch, intimacy and sexual expression.
I also have a special passion for mentoring new teachers.
I weave theory, experiential learning and creative practices to provide engaging masterclasses, professional development and keynote presentations.
I teach for The Pilates Method Association (APMA), The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and The Feldenkrais Guild of Australia and I have been a guest presenter for The Massage Association of Australia and The Bowen Therapy Association of Australia.
My speciality topics include Somatic Anxiety, Experiential Anatomy, Imagery for Performance, Core Mobility, Neuroplastic Change through Bodywork, and Truly Functional Movement.
I have written articles for Sensability, and been featured in ArtsHub, Dance Australia, The Australian Voice Association, and BIG Kids Magazine. I am co-author of the internationally popular audio program, Move Over Anxiety, with Brigit Cosgrove.
I have spoken for the Feldenkrais Interest Group in 2020 and 2021 as well as for the podcast Moving into the Unknown in 2020 with Brigit Cosgrove and on as a sole contributor in 2022.
I have presented at the 2019 Australian Feldenkrais Summit, the 2020 Australian Feldenkrais Summit, the 2021 American Move Better Feel Better Summit, and the 2021 North American Feldenkrais Conference.
In 2021 I produced and presented the 3rd Australian Feldenkrais Guild Summit with Justine Reilly.

When Im not working I can be found relaxing by the waters edge, tumbling beneath it or watching the sun slip into it.
And when the day precludes water dreaming you can find me with a cup of tea in hand - laughing with friends at one of North Perth or Fremantle’s fabulous cafes, or curled up on my day bed with my partner and 2 children.
